YOGA FOR EMOTIONS 2010 WORKSHOPS

UPCOMING DATES & LOCATION TBA

Yoga Tree

This workshop is for yoga students of all ages who may be feeling lost in life or dealing with stress, grief, depression or anxiety. We will combine psycho-education and yoga to help students use their bodies as a means to feel, understand, and process their emotions.  We are hoping to give students the opportunity to better understand their unique relationship with emotions through the body.

We will begin the class with the Myers Briggs personality test to give students a glimpse of how they interpret the world around them.  We will then talk about what emotions are, how the body contains them and how they manifest in daily life.  We will go on to teach a dynamic 90 minute vinyasa class - cuing students to tap into different parts of the body as we move into poses that combat fatigue and stress, address fear, calm anger and release tension.

Students will be provided with a variety of resources including; suggested readings, stress-reductions workshops and tailored yoga sequences related to their emotional needs.

All Levels welcome, though some prior experience with yoga is recommended.

COST: $45
